Measure the complete installation path
Measure the packaged and unpacked machine against every door, corridor, turn and lift on the delivery route.
For the installed position, include hose bends, plug access, door or lid travel, ventilation and every clearance in the exact manual.
Match the supplied inlet and drain hoses, allowed drain height, water pressure and socket requirements to the site.

What to verify on the exact model
Load limits by programme. Do not infer the definition or usable load from a headline capacity alone; use the model manual for each programme and item type.
Front, top or combined washer-dryer. Compare door/lid access, programme load tables, installation constraints and the exact washing and drying capacities instead of applying a category-wide verdict.
Programmes and controls. Check the temperature, spin, load and duration limits for the cycles you will actually use.
Warranty and service. Get the responsible provider, coverage by component, exclusions and local parts route in writing.
Transport bolts. The installer must follow the exact manual before first operation. A Bosch installation manual, for example, warns that unremoved bolts may damage the drum or other components.
Read the label with its reference programme. In the EU market the energy label is measured on one programme, "eco 40-60" — a cycle able to clean normally soiled cotton declared washable at 40°C or 60°C together in the same cycle — and it must be the default programme or be directly selectable without any other selection. The label declares energy consumption for 100 cycles rather than for one, water consumption for one cycle, rated capacity, spin-drying efficiency class, cycle duration and a noise class. So comparing two energy figures compares 100 cycles with 100 cycles on the same programme, not on the programme you will actually run.
Before you book the installation
Save the full regional model code, installation manual and applicable efficiency label.
Weigh a representative load and compare it with the model's programme table.
Confirm delivery route, installation, levelling, hose connection and old-machine removal in writing.
Before first use, verify that shipping restraints were removed exactly as the manual instructs; retain them for later transport.
Where to read the model dimensions and requirements
Use the exact manufacturer's specification sheet, programme table and installation manual. Bosch manual 9000988974_A is a direct worked example: it requires all four transport bolts to be removed before first use and warns that leaving them fitted may damage the drum or other components. It does not establish the installation procedure for another model. For efficiency and conformity, require the exact applicable market label or document rather than a regulator or standards homepage.
